When a young woman named Tessie finds herself in an unfamiliar land- full of magic and creatures of fantasy- she embarks on a journey to find her sister who also got sucked in with her. She meets Pomfret, a young inventor and recluse working for the Rebellion and fighting against the Amalgamates- aka Tessie’s religious group- who are terrorizing the kingdom of the Fey. Tessie uncovers the truth of her upbringing and comrades- fighting alongside the rebellion to stop them.
